There will be two clinical posting to different hospitals.then you continue with Anatomy and Physiology II, going even deeper into the human body systems, again, Foundation of Nursing II which is different from the first one the units are different e.g drug administration, injection safety etc, refining your understanding of patient care. It is in this stage that you will start Medical Surgical Nursing I where you will start to learn about different disease and conditions, caring for patients with various medical conditions. Primary Health Care I explain the importance of healthcare in the community, while Pharmacology I introduces you to the world of medications and their effects. Nursing Ethics and Jurisprudence provide insights into the ethical and legal dimensions of nursing practice, ensuring you make sound decisions. To put your knowledge into practice, Hospital Based Nursing Practicum I offers hands-on experience in a controlled environment.

INTERMEDIATE STAGE

PRE- HOSPITAL STAGE
Now Let's talk about the Pre Hospital stage in nursing school. It is like a special time in the second year when you learn important things to help you become a good nurse.
First, the courses are a little bit hard Foundation of Nursing IV. This teaches you more about taking care of patients and being kind to them, Then, there's Medical Surgical Nursing III. It is about helping patients after they had surgery, like making sure they feel better and other conditions.
Pharmacology III is about drugs, like how they work and when to use them. Research and Statistics II helps you understand important information about healthcare. Community Health Nursing I teaches you how to help people be healthy in their communities and different strategies to do that. Reproductive Health II talks about pregnancy, safe motherhood, labour, abortions and many more. HOSPITAL STAGE
Imagine being in nursing school and reaching a special stage called the "Hospital Stage" You are currently in the most challenging stage of your nursing education, which is your third year (First Semester).
It is like a new chapter full of exciting things to learn.In this stage, you got to know more about taking care of patients who had surgery. It's called Medical Surgical Nursing IV you will learn allot of nursing diagnosis. You will learned how to help patient to feel better and recover well after surgery.Then, you will go to Reproductive Health III. This part is all about babies and moms you will learn topics like Growth and development etc. Community Health Nursing II, you will learn how to help not just one person, but a whole group of people in your community. Mental Health Psychiatric Nursing was about feelings and thoughts, you will learn things like stress and anxiety, how to be there for people when they feel sad or worried. Emergency and Disaster Nursing will taught you how to help when things get tough. You will learn how to stay calm and assist people during emergencies.
During this stage, you will be facing three exams: Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3, which is OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) format. The exams will consist of 250 questions and will be conducted as computer based tests (CBT). The questions will cover material right from your introductory exam, with the majority of the question focusing on what you've learned during your hospital experience and NCLEX Questions. This is a crucial period, so focus on understanding the subjects and practice NCLEX questions very well If you have any specific questions or need assistance ask your friends or lecturers.
This stage might feel tricky, but don't worry, If you study and practice the subjects well you will pass. The more you practice, the more confident you'll become.

FINAL STAGE (COUNCIL)
In the third year of nursing school, you will have more classes like Medical Surgical Nursing V, Research Project, Home Healthcare Nursing, Principles of Management and Teaching, Health Economics, Entrepreneurship in Nursing, and Hospital Based Nursing Practicum III. These classes will help you understand nursing better.
The council stage is the last part of your nursing journey. It's like the final lap of a race, you need to work really hard and give your best effort, this stage is the end of your nursing education, so you have to do your best to do well. The questions in this stage are from the nursing council. The exam will be on a computer and have three parts, Paper 1 paper 2 and paper 3 OSCE
If you want to do really well, focus on practicing questions similar to the ones in the exam, Spend time practicing NCLEX questions to get better. Also, spend time in a real hospital to learn how things work in the real world. Once you are good at the questions and have hospital experience, go back to your books. Study them again to make sure you understand everything. Doing all these things step by step will help you do great in the council stage.
