Hello everyone today I'm going to write on how to check MTN data balance on MTN in your mobile phone, due to the change made by NCC the Nigerian communication commission some people now don't know how to check MTN data balance which lead my decision of writing this article.

In this article you will learn how to check MTN data balance using a new codes,  as I realise that people are confused about the new MTN data balance codes.

According to my research the confusions has come in a way that some people are having maybe normal MTN data but the code  they know on how to check their data balance is not for normal data maybe is for checking balance of gifting data or other MTN data category.

The MTN data is categorised in different forms as follows:

Types of MTN Data

1. MTN SME DATA

2. MTN COOPERATE GIFTING DATA

3. MTN DATA GIFTING.

4. NORMAL MTN DATA BONUS

All of the above mention type of data has it is own balance checking code therefore it may be a little bit confusion for some customers to identify What is the difference between those three type of MTN data and the code to check balance of all those type of data on MTN.

Agahub publishers has sorts out all MTN data and the code used to check it's balance in this article.

how to check mtn data balance

  • MTN SME DATA balance *461*4#
  • MTN GIFTING both corporate and Normal Gifting *131*4# or *460*260#
  • Normal MTN DATA BONUS can be check by using normal MTN Account balance code *310# you'll see your data balance after Account Balance as data Bonus.

There is a lot of ways in which you can check your data balance on MTN but this is the simple and the most updated method as provided by MTN and NCC in this 2023 New update, you can also use myMtn application To check your data balance on MTN which is showing automatically whenever you open your myMtn app at the top right corner of the application.

However some people are using an error prompt of old MTN Data Balance checking code which is *123#, follows the prompt by replying with the number of check balance option, Then Chose the Data Balance option.

The above screenshot is prompts followed by me in order to check data balance on my MTN using old USSD code which is *123# but at the end of the process I get a reply by MTN service prompt that I should use  *310# to check my data balance.

Therefore this shows that the first codes I mention is the only updated codes you can use  to check your data balance on MTN.
