Federal University Dutse which is also known as FUD is a testament to Nigeria's commitment to developing education, research, and knowledge distribution, this university was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria on February 9, 2011, along with eight other Federal Universities. This university is located in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa state, with aims to connect the gap between the charm of small towns and easy access to major urban centers. Federal University Dutse Admission Requirements and Process:

1. All Applicants must have at least 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language.
2. Applicants with diploma, N C E, or and university degree in any discipline are also eligible to apply.
3. Applicants must have have a minimum jamb score of 160 to 240. 
4. The FUD cut off marks for the 2023/2024 academic session is 160 to 240 depending on the courses you want to apply admission into.
5. The application process involves accessing the official university portal, creating an account, and completing the application form.
6. To submit a successful application, a non refundable application fee of N5,000 is necessary.

Method of Application

• First of all visit https://diploma.fudcons.com
• Create an account with a valid email address.
• After successfully creating your account, log in with your email address and password.
• There are five (5) areas that you will need to apply admission in between 
• Before moving on to the next section, each section must be completed.
• You can save your progress while filling out the application form and continue before the application deadline.
• Use a valid credit card or any other payment option available on the platform.
• Pay the non-refundable application cost of five thousand (#5,000) naira only.

Total Fees for Fresh Students is one hundred and  Forty thousand N114,000 for FAC. OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCI/FAC. OF MGT SCI./FAC. EDUCATION and for Returning Student (Non-Final Year) Seventy nine thousand naira 79,000 for Returning Student (Final Year) is eighty four thousand 84,000 For FACULTY OF COMPUTING Fresh Student is one hundred and twenty eight thousand Naira 128,000.00 and Returning Student ( non-final year) is ninety three thousand  93,000.00 Returning Student (Final Year) is ninety eight thousand naira 98,000.00

Federal University Dutse Registration Guidelines

1.  All School Fees Registration must be done through this Portal https://www.myportal.fud.edu.ng/, not through the REMITTA  website.
2.  Once verified by the Head of Department, log onto this portal with your JAMB Registration Number as Username and the STATE OF ORIGIN (in CAPITAL letters) as Password.
3.  Click School Fees to create payment invoice, click the REMITTA logo to pay online with a debit card, or print the invoice receipt to pay at FUD Microfinance or any commercial bank.
4.  Proceed to the corresponding Faculty Accountant Office to submit a copy of the Remitta Payment receipt for stamping and verification.
5. After paying, click Generate REGISTRATION NUMBER to get your Registration Number.
6. To log out, click GO TO SCHOOL and login with your freshly generated REGISTRATION NUMBER as the username and password.
7. The system will prompt you to change your password, and make sure it's strong (a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters).
8. To update your biodata, upload your passport and then pick Biodata.
9. Print the Clinic form before going to the University Clinic for a lab test.
10. To register for classes, select Course Registration. Students are strongly recommended to obtain information from their respective level coordinators on the courses for which they should register.
11.  To apply for lodging, select Hostel and book a bed space. Only Fresh and Final year students are eligible for accommodation, and the allocation of bed spaces in both male and Female Hostel will be done on a first-come-first-served basis.
