Nile University is a private university that is located in Abuja, the Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, and was founded in 2009, the university was founded in response to the need to provide high quality higher education to an increasing number of high school graduates. It initially consisted of three colleges that is the Arts & Social Sciences, Engineering, and Natural & Applied Sciences and served 93 students. The institution developed over time, recognizing the need for higher education standards, which led to the founding of the School of Postgraduate Studies in 2014. Nile University joined Honoris United Universities, Africa's largest private higher education network, in 2020.

Nile University Admission and Requirements
General Admission Requirements:
• Obtain 5 credits, including English, which can be in a maximum of 2 sittings for O’level.
• Refer to the Jamb Brochure for complete requirements.
• Admission into an undergraduate degree program is based on Faculty and Departmental requirements.
Admission Requirements for Nigerian Students:
1. Applicants must take the JAMB Examination or UTME and achieve the approved cut-off mark for the year.
2. Present 5 credits, not exceeding two sittings.
3. Submit the following documents to the admission office:
- Completed and Signed Application Form
- Copy of the student Official Senior Secondary School Transcript
- Copy of the student's Official Senior Secondary School extermination Certificate
- Copies of Official Examination Results
- Guarantor’s Letter/Attestation of Financial Support
- Medical Report & Immunization Records
- Copy of the Recommendation Letter from your Secondary School Principal
- 4 Recent Passport Photographs
Admission Requirements for Foreign Applicants:
- Provide corresponding Examination Results and academic transcript of previous high schools.
Admission Requirements for Transfer & Direct Entry Students:
- Direct Entry candidates include those with OND, NCE, HND, 'A' level GCE, SBS, JUPEB, IJMB, or other higher qualifications.
- Transfer candidates from national universities are generally preferred, with a minimum grade point average of 1.50 CGPA (3rd class) on a 5.0 scale.
Documents Required for Registration:
- Five O’level credits passed in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE, including English language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or letter of Exemption.
- Three referee reports.
- When registering, bring credentials, including certificates/degrees, and ensure official transcripts are sent to Nile University.

Nile University has a campus accommodation for both male and female students that needs it, the hostels are completely set up with air conditioning, study rooms, common areas, kitchenettes, and dining halls they have 24 hourd CCTV surveillance, security, and other high quality utilities also Nile University hostel has a study table, closet, and bed in each and every room. To provide a wonderful hostel experience, each hostel is given in residence supervisors and managers that monitor the safety of students and strictly follow hostel rules for a peaceful living environment.
